As it turns out, I neglected to put a 'package provide dde 1.0' command in the end of the initialization for the dde plugin. This can cause Wish to exit with an "Abnormal program termination" message. *sigh* For the next couple of days, you can put this statement in yourself in your code, and dde will be more solid. I'm going to release a new version next week.
Do you wish that you could use the tk send command under windows? Now you can! This .zip file contains a .dll that provides basic 'send' functionality for Windows 95 with tcl7.6 and tk4.2, and the source code and makefile that were used to compile this .dll.
Please take a moment and read the README for (possible) significant limitations of this software.
Also note that this is being released as unsupported software. It's alpha quality, and undoubtedly needs bugs fixed. Your mileage may vary...(but it works for me).
