Hrm... Let's see...
Left-handed monkey wrench. Screendoor for a submarine. A skyhook. Perpetual motion machine. If only I could hit on a scheme that has no chance of happening and then sell it to trump fans. Christmas would be made, eh? If they're silly enough to believe anything that trump spouts, they'll even believe that Ivanka really didn't know what she was doing. Hrm... An anti-immigration necklace, guaranteed to push illegal immigrants at least 50 feet from the wearer. A perpetual money piggy bank, no matter how much you shake it, there's more money there. A anti-fake-news wand, you wave it and reporters start saying things you want them to say instead of all that fakeness. How about crowdfunding a purchase of a personality for Jared? Come on, brain, think!

Now Fox hosts are on record trying to shame Jim Accosta even after a court ordered his Hard Pass to be reinstated.
Press Secretary Sanders went so far as to say that "the court made clear that there is no absolute First Amendment right to access the White House". Again, she lies. The court made no such statement. Sean Hannity, ever a rabid Trump supporter, said “He is a far-left grandstanding, sycophant left-winger capitalizing on his blatant anti-Trump bias." Change left to right, and remove "anti-", and that sentence would for more accurately apply to Hannity. In fact, they try to tie the silencing of Alex Jones for hate-filled talk on social media to CNN, because CNN did an investigation into Alex Jones and his website Infowars. Laura Ingram calls Accosta doing his job a “disgraceful performance”, and frequent Fox guests Diamond & Silk called the CNN reporter “the enemy of the people.” The interesting thing here is that they are slating Accosta (and CNN in general) for doing their job of reporting on the President and his administration. I just don't understand why *anyone* would listen to and believe these Fox hosts' view on this (or frankly any) topic at this point. We WANT a free press to be able to report on the President because we pay for his service though our tax money. He represents the US to the rest of the world, we SHOULD have a say in how the President performs his job. I'm beginning to believe that the Fox News hosts aren't just willfully ignorant...they're actively trying to undermine American Democracy. If trump wants reporters (and all the rest of us) to respect the Presidency in general or the White House specifically, trump should try it first. No more "that's a stupid question" to reporters. No more being rude in general. When asked a question, even if it's uncomfortable, answer the fucking question. Show the world how respectful you can be, trump, and maybe they'll try it back to you. Continue being a jerk, and there'll be a *lot* more lawsuits trying to teach you the error of your ways. There's something very strange going on right now in Florida...
Three different races (senate seat, governor and secretary of agriculture) are too close to call. Except, that is exactly what the Republicans did. They claimed that they won before all the votes are counted...and now that the votes aren't going the way they thought, they are claiming someone is trying to "steal this election". Last I checked, the only ones playing a game here are the Republicans, trying things like placing "public voting booths" inside gated communities, and requiring matching signatures for a vote to be counted as well as gerrymandering. The gated communities are a problem as the people who mostly live in them are rich white folks, a.k.a. "Republicans". The signatures are a problem as the elections are run by a Republican who has untrained counters validating the signatures by eye, making it very easy indeed to discount votes where the vote doesn't go the way expected. The gerrymandering means that people can be grouped so that democrats are excluded from surrounding areas, and stuffed into one area. It would give the Democrats one area, but the Republicans would get 4, or 5 or more. Long story short is that even with all the dirty tricks Republicans have played, their candidates still can't get a clear majority. Rigging the system like this is not American, it's not Democratic, and it certainly isn't ethical. This is simply the entitled Republicans throwing yet another strop over the fact that they are losing, people are seeing through their bullshit, and are voting them out. Let Democracy happen! Respect the vote! trump has now named a second person (April Ryan) as a reporter that he feels doesn't respect the White House nor the Presidency as much as they should. Further, he's ominously said there are 'other people' who may face the same treatment.
This is how Kings are made. Make your people afraid of bogeymen, and then claim to be the only guy that can save them, if only they give up a little here and there. By the time the people realise they've given up too much, it's too late to do anything about it. If Fox News is the only broadcaster allowed in the White House, how accurate do you really think the reporting is going to be? It's also worth mentioning that the people in question are asking pertinent questions that the majority of America want to hear answered. trump responds with slander, name-calling, and disrespect. How can you both claim that the White House and the Presidency are sacred and very special if you're going to act like the biggest loser around? We *need* freedom of the press, and the ability to ask tough questions when the politicians (that we pay with our taxes) stop doing the job for OUR benefit and do the job for the benefit of the RICH. We need this clown out before we can't /get/ him out any more. WTF were you thinking people?
I first saw this article posted on 8 November 2018. I think it's fair to say there's not a more anti-trump and anti-republican person than me. Don't believe me? Just read my posts. However, the actions described in the article are not acceptable in any way shape or form. Don't you see that this is *exactly* what trump and his co-conspirators /want/ you to do. They want a bogeyman to point at and say "Hey, fear that bogeyman...only *I* can save from him." Wanna protest? Have a blast. Peacefully. Otherwise, you might as well be a paid trump informant or activist. Express yourself....legally! So, the day after the elections, feeling safe from the voter's wrath, trump both fires Sessions, exposing the Mueller investigation to being undermined by a trump zealot, and stomps on freedom of the press.
Think about this a minute. Trump is taking advantage of a lame duck congress to try to quickly quash the Mueller investigation. An investigation that has indicted or gotten guilty please from 32 people and 3 companies that we know about. The investigation he calls a 'witch hunt'. News flash donny-boy: that's not what witch hunt means. Also, Jim Accosta from CNN was questioning one of trump's ridiculous racist claims from before the election. Trump was very much a bully, and kept trying to shut Accosta up. Then Accosta tries asking about the Russia investigation, trump actually told him to shut up. The President is trying to kill an investigation (that has found lots of wrong-doing already) from investigating him, and then trying to shut the news agencies who are reporting about it. When trump was initially elected, I warned you all that he was trying to become King Trump. A King who will have no respect for anyone but himself. Not me, not you, not even people who have thrown themselves under the bus for him. Shame on anyone who voted for trump in 2016, or voted for the Republicans in 2018. You are the reason that an evil man is empowered to attack our democracy, undermine our decency, yield the world to the Russians and the Chinese, and make a laughing stock out of the US. When the history books look back and try to figure out when exactly US democracy died, tonight may well be a day they consider. |
