This article says basically that Republicans are worried about how the Ford/Kavanaugh brouhaha will appear to the voters. They're worried that voters will have a more negative impression of them.
I say: Republicans, fret not! We already know you to be spineless cowards willing to give up morals, ethics and patriotism to attach yourself lamprey-like to a clueless buffoon whose only redeeming quality is that he hasn't (yet) exposed himself on public television before 9pm. He's gone against every moral and ethical stand the Republicans have *ever* posed. Financial, moral, political, you name it. He's picked fights with every other country, claimed that he and he alone is the sole arbiter of Truth, more or less allowed the US to become a vassal of Russia, and continues his very best to destroy US democracy (which is too ill to deserve a capital D any more). And Republicans in Congress, while he was doing all that, patted him on the head hoping he'd be a good boy while the 'adults' in the room played. Bottom line here: Reality is coming for you. You've already proven your true colours to the outside world. We're watching. We're noting your actions. I wouldn't worry too awfully much more at this point. Bring on the mid-terms. We'll vote you out. Bye, old, boring, white guys. Buh-bye.
