The Short Version
I'm a senior technology leader based in the UK with decades of experience building software, leading teams, and trying to make workplaces better for everyone. I'm currently co-authoring Bad Bosses Ruin Lives with Step It Up HR and building the BAT employee experience framework.
The Longer Version
I've spent my career at the intersection of technology and people. I've been a developer, an architect, a CTO, and everything in between. Along the way, I've learned that the hardest problems in software aren't technical — they're human.
That insight led me to co-found work with Step It Up HR, where we're tackling the epidemic of bad management head-on. Our research found that 99.5% of survey respondents said they've had one or more types of bad bosses. That's not a statistic — it's a crisis. Our book explains why it happens and what managers can do about it.
