This is reprehensible, shocking and disgusting.
When asked about the anti-semitic behaviour we're hearing about, (threats, desecration, etc), Trump's comments were that "sometimes it's the reverse". Perhaps it's better that at least he spoke. His comments on the recent murder of an Indian man were even more compelling, because he made none. That's right, he stayed silent. Forget whatever he had been going to say in his speech this evening, we should all be demanding that Trump explain himself. He cannot continue as President of the United States if he's going to try to explain away violence, threats and bigotry.

I was wondering how long it would be before someone pointed out that Trump supporters have lost too...they just don't know it yet.
We won't know how bad we've been ripped off for a little while...but you can be sure that Trump's eyes might take a while to recover: The most reassuring thing about Trump is that he can't stop shooting himself in the foot. Whether that's being helped by the Russians, destroying the environment, enriching himself at taxpayer expense, or lying just because it's fun.
The impeachment hasn't started. Today. One thing you can lay good money on, though, is that it will. Tricky Don is far too shady of a "bad hombre" to get away with a whole term in office. Just look at the president's "approval ratings". On Jan 22, Gallup measured that the approval rating was 45% for Trump, 45% against, 10% undecided. Approximately 1 month later, the numbers are 42% for, 54% against, with just 4% undecided. The poll by Quinnipiac University have even more details (and slightly different numbers)...though it's safe to say that things are not going well for Mr. Trump. The writing is on the wall, Republicans. You, too, will have to run for office in less than 2 years. Which is why their vote to refuse to look at Donald Trump's tax returns is so perplexing. We, the voters, the people who hired you and pay your salaries, won't forget this. When Trump goes down, you'll all go down with him. This is simply terrifying...
As of Feb 23, there have been 0 days without telling lies from the Trump administration. From most politicians, you expect spin and verbal dodginess...but this is a whole new level of deceit: Trump simply cannot help himself from telling lies: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/trump-claims/ Nothing he says can be trusted. The best you can hope for is to watch what he does, and from his actions so far the little guy had better watch out. Trump and the Republicans seem bound and determined to bury any hint of troubles:
Way to go Donny Boy. Watching out for the little guy again.
Trump has issued another Executive Order aiming to remove restrictions on how much pollution can be dumped in the rivers of the US. In itself, this EO will have no real effect, but will encourage the new head of the EPA, Scott Pruitt. Scott Pruitt has vowed to slash regulation of various types of pollution. He also has close ties to fossil fuel interests. Can't help but wonder what a Sanders Presidency would look like...
Trump demonstrated his awesome lack of understanding yet again.
Here's a news flash, Donny Boy: the world's a far more complex place that you imagine. Only a very dim person indeed would think otherwise. Trump claimed during his campaign he was watching out for the little guy.
Yet, there was this story about how he's going to spend $54 Billion more on the military, reducing the amount many other programs will receive. I wonder. The USA already spends more than the next 8 countries COMBINED. Source. With that kind of expenditure...why in the world would it make sense to spend yet another $54 Billion? Is this simply ego stroking? What does Trump hope to accomplish? As we've seem with the militarization of local police forces in the US (Source), if you've got the hardware, you're going to use it. Trump's already demonstrated (in an absurdly botched raid, which produced no usable intelligence) that he's excited about using his new toys. If I were the leader of a country that spends less than the US (like every other country), I'd be more than a little concerned. Trump blames Obama for the leaks in his organisation...
This is either rampant paranoia, or scapegoating. Is this Trump laying the groundwork to his loyal believers so that they can blame all their woes on someone? |
