So Trump played the electoral college and got 3M fewer votes than Hillary (the majority of the voters wanted her).
Now he and his supporters are claiming that he's got a mandate. To me, a 'mandate' implies an overwhelming majority...but in this case, they'll call it that to get you to forget that more people wanted Hillary. Fair enough. He won claiming he wanted to "drain the swamp". He's said it in many speeches...but then again. The funny thing about Trump is that you can *never* rely on what he says, you have to watch what he does. In this case, he's issued over 90 executive orders repealing things like Dodd-Frank (protecting people from big business), the rule that keeps coal mines from dumping into rivers, cutting $54B out of programs his voters are a majority of, and the Trumpcare health plan that will remove insurance from 6M-10M people (disproportionately hitting the older voter, who went for Trump). With his attack last Saturday on the government, he's making sure that the government is too broken to function. Is this /really/ what people who voted for Trump want? A government, hobbled, unable to function, unable to rein in bad people, spending vast sums for NO BENEFIT? I'd say he's showing his true colors very quickly indeed.
