The great thing about Trump is that the character of the people he surrounds himself with are incredibly predictable.
Over time, they'll give prosecutors more than enough string to hang them. Until then, we get to see a textbook definition of why Presidents separate themselves from their financial ties when they are elected...all except Trump, of course. In this context, the donation of his $400,000 salary, which would be an *amazing* salary to anyone else, just looks like arrogance and dismissal from Trump. "What? That suitcase of money on the street? No, hardly worth my time to pick it up. I'll order Congress to do it for me."
